Michelle Ghidotti-Gonsalves

Michelle Ghidotti-Gonsalves, Partner at Ghidotti | Berger LLP, was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Ms. Ghidotti-Gonsalves obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance Magna Cum Laude from Western Illinois University in 2001 where she was actively involved in numerous campus organizations including the Alpha Sigma Tau sorority and the Beta Gamma Sigma business fraternity.

Ms. Ghidotti-Gonsalves moved to California in 2001 and received her Juris Doctorate with a Taxation emphasis from Chapman University School of Law in 2004 where she was awarded a CALI Award for academic excellence in Taxation of Business Organizations and was named the Distinguished Tax Scholar of the Year in 2004. Ms. Ghidotti-Gonsalves is admitted to the state and federal courts of California, Arizona, Washington and Illinois.

Ms. Ghidotti-Gonsalves has been practicing law since 2004 and has extensive legal experience with a business background. Ghidotti | Berger LLP, a national commercial litigation and creditors’ rights practice, was created from the merger of the Berger Firm, P.A. in Miami, Florida, and the Law Offices of Michelle Ghidotti, in Santa Ana, California.

Ms. Ghidotti-Gonsalves founded the Law Offices of Michelle Ghidotti in February 2012. Prior to forming the Law Offices of Michelle Ghidotti, Ms. Ghidotti-Gonsalves worked at Attlesey Storm, LLP, successor to Miller and Clark, PC. During Ms. Ghidotti-Gonsalves’ practice as an associate attorney, she developed considerable experience representing financial institutions and related entities in a broad range of real estate, real estate finance, and bankruptcy related matters.

Ms. Ghidotti-Gonsalves lectures on general real estate, bankruptcy and foreclosure issues, and has been a featured speaker for several companies specializing in nonperforming second mortgages.

Chase Berger, Esq.

Chase Berger, Partner at Ghidotti | Berger LLP, was born and raised in South Florida. He received his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and the Criminal Law Society. He was also a competitor in the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Mr. Berger earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business in 2005. He is fluent in Spanish.

Ghidotti | Berger LLP, a national commercial litigation and creditors’ rights practice, was created from the merger of the Berger Firm, P.A. in Miami, Florida, and the Law Offices of Michelle Ghidotti, in Santa Ana, California. Mr. Berger founded Berger Firm P.A. in 2012, which concentrated its practice in commercial litigation and lender representation in real estate, foreclosure, bankruptcy matters. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Berger was an associate at Genovese, Joblove & Battista, P.A., where he focused his practice on bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Before that, Mr. Berger was a judicial clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice in the Office of the United States Attorney (SDFL), where he worked in the White Collar and Economic Fraud Section.

Mr. Berger practices in all areas of lender-related litigation, including foreclosures, reorganizations, bankruptcy, and lender liability. Mr. Berger is an active member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida and the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Florida and Washington D.C. Bar Associations and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern District and Middle Districts of Florida.

Mr. Berger lectures on general real estate, bankruptcy and foreclosure issues, and was a key-note speaker at the 2016 Inaugural Residential Mortgage Notes, Non- & Re-Performing Loans Symposium, in Santa Monica, California.
